Cat6 cable is currently the best available. A next version (Cat7) is currently in the works but not readily available yet.

You can use a regular CAT5 cable.  For DSL speeds you do not need a CAT6, DSL will not even approach the  speed that CAT6 cable is used for.

What he is saying is right
cat5 wires support speeds up to 100mb/s
cat6 wires support speeds up to 1000mb/s
and the fastest dsl lines in the world has the speed of 1.5mb/s

anything abouve 1500 is useless...for normal internet contact... if you need "anything" abouve 1500... I feel if you are a "hard' user you should "pay" for it. Either an idiot or a gammer... or should pay for commercial rates...
